Short-Term Nanny Support

Reliable, One-to-One Care from Someone Who Truly Understands

There are times when families just need a helping hand, perhaps while waiting for a nursery place, recovering from birth, managing work commitments, or navigating a period of change. That’s where I come in.

I’m Donna, a qualified postnatal practitioner and nanny, and I offer short-term nanny support for families who need an extra bit of help for a few days, a few weeks, or a couple of months. I don’t run an agency, and I don’t send strangers to your door. When you contact Postnatal Helping Hands, you’re dealing with me—personally.

What I Offer

My short-term nanny service is ideal for families who:

  • Are waiting for a permanent childcare arrangement to begin
  • Need cover during a temporary change in circumstances
  • Would benefit from a consistent, calm presence at home
  • Want their little one looked after in a familiar, comforting environment

I bring a gentle, nurturing approach to each family I work with, taking the time to really understand your child’s needs, your routines, and what matters to you most.

How It Works

I can work with you for anywhere between a single day and up to three months. My schedule is flexible, and I’ll always do my best to accommodate the needs of your family, whether that’s full days, part-time help, or a few specific dates.

You’ll always know who’s coming into your home, and you’ll have peace of mind knowing your child is being looked after with experience, kindness, and genuine care.

A Little Bit About Me

I’ve worked with babies and young children for many years and have a background in postnatal support, nannying, and family care. I’m fully insured, DBS checked, and trained in paediatric first aid. But just as importantly, I care deeply about the families I work with. This isn’t just a job for me – it’s a privilege to support you during such an important time.

What You Can Expect

  • A familiar face – no agencies or rotating carers
  • Tailored support – I’ll adapt to your child’s existing routines
  • Warm, trustworthy care – someone you can rely on when you need it most
  • Help beyond childcare – I can also assist with small child-related tasks like preparing meals, washing bottles, and light tidying

What You Can Expect

I offer a no-pressure, friendly conversation to see if I’m the right fit for your family. You can ask any questions you like, and we’ll talk through what support might look like in your specific situation.

Because you’re not just hiring a nanny – you’re inviting someone into your home. And I’ll always treat that with the care and respect it deserves.
